Our Gentle Parenting Philosophy is underpinned by the 3 basic components of parenting

2) Feeling and functioning at your best
3) Understanding your child's needs and adapting parenting accordingly
Many gentle parenting schools focus on just the skills of calm parenting, but this leaves parents frustrated when you realise these calm parenting techniques are harder to put into place when you're feeling tired, emotional, frustrated, or overwhelmed.
At Help For Mums we take a holistic approach to gentle parenting to ensure we cover all three components of how to be a gentle parent. The wellbeing approach embedded in our gentle parenting course and gentle parenting books guide you to function at your best first. With a strong wellbeing foundation, you can consistently implement calm and gentle parenting techniques with ease. In doing so, you learn how to cope with parenthood armed with expert tools, whilst feeling vibrant and more energised.

Lizzie founded Help For Mums after years of counselling professional women, parents and couples and then becoming a mother herself. As a new parent, Lizzie realised there was a lot of information available on how to look after a child physically, but very little if anything, on how to build the emotional, physical resilience to cope with the demands of motherhood.
Lizzie is a couples counsellor and life coach and has worked in the corporate world. Lizzie is also a health expert, having represented Australia as an athlete in National Fitness Titles and been the resident Health Expert on Melbourne 3AW radio.
Lizzie regularly provides parenting and health expert advice in the Media and is the Author of various gentle parenting books and our gentle parenting course.
